Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how IntakeNexus uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you use our website and dashboard.

1. Storage Technologies We Use

  • Essential authentication cookies: Set by our authentication provider (Clerk) to keep you signed in and secure your session.
  • Bot protection: On the sign-up and sign-in pages, Clerk runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that uses browser and device signals to tell people from automated bots. Clerk uses Turnstile, a Cloudflare service, as part of the authentication service it provides to us (see the Clerk entry in Section 3.1 of our Privacy Policy), and Turnstile may use its own storage while the check runs. On the live demo on our website, we run Cloudflare Turnstile ourselves when you start a demo call (see the Cloudflare Turnstile entry in Section 3.1 and Section 1.4 of our Privacy Policy); it loads only after you tap "Start a call", never on page load.
  • Preference storage: Browser local storage is used for non-sensitive UI preferences (for example consent state and sidebar collapse state). Two first-party functional cookies, intakenexus-accent and intakenexus-contrast, remember your chosen dashboard accent colour and contrast level for up to one year so the page renders correctly on first paint. They contain only a fixed keyword, carry no identifier, and are not used for tracking.
  • Privacy-signal cookie: If your browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out is sent to our compliance API, we set a first-party cookie named gpc_optout for one year so the request is remembered even if your browser later stops sending the signal. It holds only the value 1, cannot be read by page scripts, and is not used for tracking.
  • Operational storage: Temporary session storage caching may be used to improve dashboard load performance for non-secret configuration data.

2. Consent and Control

We show a cookie consent banner and store your choice as either accepted or rejected. Essential cookies required for sign-in and security are always active. We do not currently use any analytics or marketing cookies; if we introduce one, it will be off unless you accept it and will be listed here first. If you reject non-essential cookies, clicks on sign-up and demo buttons on our marketing pages are counted anonymously on our own servers (which button, the page, the referring website, and the time), with no cookie, identifier, or IP address stored.

You can change your preferences by clearing browser storage for this site and making a new selection in the consent banner.

3. Third-Party Scripts and Tracking

  • Authentication: Clerk assets are loaded to support sign-in and account sessions.
  • Payments: Stripe assets are loaded only where payment functionality is required.
  • Bot protection: Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded by Clerk on the sign-up and sign-in pages, and by us on the homepage live demo once you start a demo call.
  • Analytics: We do not load Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising script.
  • Widgets on business websites: The chat and form widgets that businesses embed on their own websites are described in Section 13 of our Privacy Policy. They may keep a random visitor identifier and conversation details in that website's browser storage, and, if the business turns it on, load Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection once a visitor starts using the widget (not when the page first loads), which can set Google's own reCAPTCHA cookie.
  • Fonts: Dashboard typography is served from self-hosted/system fonts, not Google Fonts CDNs.

4. Browser-Side Management

Most browsers allow you to delete or block cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or secure session handling.
