What the AI Receptionist Does

Your AI receptionist answers customers on every connected channel — SMS, web chat, phone, email, and social DMs. It answers questions from your knowledge pack, qualifies leads, quotes from your service catalog, books appointments, and hands off to a human when your rules say it should.

Everything that shapes the AI lives in the AI Receptionist sidebar group: what it knows (Knowledge), how it sounds and what it may do (Personality), when it acts on its own (Automation), how it handles phone calls (Voice config and Call scripts), and two safe places to rehearse (Test the AI and Test a call).

The Overview Page

AI Receptionist is the AI’s home base: the status strip says what it will do right now per channel, and its own nav lists Personality, Knowledge, Scripts, Phone calls, Text replies, Web chat, Booking rules and Test (Knowledge shows a badge when questions are waiting).

  • Setup checklist — four steps with a knowledge completeness meter: teach your AI, set its personality, turn on auto-replies, and answer calls with AI voice
  • Unanswered questions — things customers asked that the AI could not answer, ready for review
  • Test your AI — shortcuts to the text playground and the voice simulator

The Improvement Loop

1

Teach

Fill the knowledge pack until the completeness meter is high — see Training Your AI.

2

Test

Rehearse in the playground and voice simulator until answers are right — nothing reaches customers.

3

Go live

Enable auto-replies in Automation and put channels in front of customers.

4

Review

Check the Review queue regularly. Approving an unanswered question turns it into a permanent FAQ, so the AI can answer it next time.
