All channel state lives in Settings › Channels. The tab opens with provider overview cards — SMS via Bandwidth, voice via Twilio, and your A2P 10DLC registration status — followed by per-channel configuration.

Connect SMS (Bandwidth)

Bandwidth handles production SMS. Your SMS number is platform-managed and shown read-only, along with your registration identifiers and trust score.

1

Confirm number and status

In Settings › Channels, verify the platform-managed SMS number is active and attached to your business.

2

Complete A2P 10DLC registration

US carriers require registration before production texting. The status card shows where you are: NotStarted, Pending, InReview, Approved, Rejected, or Suspended. Registration is completed with support — sends stay gated until the status is Approved.

3

Run a live test message

Text your business number from your phone and verify the conversation appears in Inbox.

Configure Inbound Email

Your inbound intake address is assigned by IntakeNexus during activation. Use it to capture leads from contact forms, directories, and referrals.

1

Find your intake email address

In Settings › Channels, copy your inbound email address once it has been assigned (until then the field reads "Not yet assigned").

2

Route traffic to it

Add it to contact forms or forward from your existing business inbox. (Custom sender identity and managed forwarding are marked coming soon on the Channels tab.)

3

Send a test email

Send a sample inquiry and confirm it creates a thread in Inbox.

Other Channels on This Tab

  • Twilio (voice) — Account SID and Auth Token; the voice number itself is assigned by IntakeNexus during activation
  • Facebook Messenger & Instagram — Meta Page ID and access token (see Meta Messenger & Instagram DM)
  • WhatsApp — your WhatsApp business phone number

Validation Checklist

  1. Inbound message appears in Inbox
  2. Lead is created or linked in Leads
  3. AI reply arrives (if auto-reply is enabled in AI Receptionist › Text replies)
  4. Manual reply sends successfully through the original channel
