Settings Overview
Settings is the control center for your workspace, organized into eight tabs. Three of them — Knowledge Pack, Automation, and AI Receptionist — are also reachable directly from the AI Receptionist sidebar group as Knowledge, Automation, and Personality.
Tab Reference
| Tab | What It Controls | When to Visit |
|---|---|---|
| General | Business name and logo, industry, tone, service-area ZIP codes, operating hours and timezone, appearance | Initial setup and any identity changes |
| Pricing | The service catalog the AI quotes from: prices, units, keywords, descriptions, ordering | When adding services or adjusting rates |
| Knowledge Pack | Everything the AI answers from — guided or raw editor, completeness meter, preview | When AI answers need tuning |
| Channels | SMS (Bandwidth) with A2P status, Voice (Twilio), Meta, WhatsApp, email intake address | Channel setup, reconnection, or credential updates |
| Integrations | Google Calendar, Outlook, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Jobber | Adding or reconnecting third-party tools |
| Automation | Auto-reply modes, handoff rules, AI thresholds, missed-call text-back | Refining when the AI acts on its own |
| AI Receptionist | Persona, booking capabilities, deposits, message templates, session limits | Shaping how the AI sounds and what it may do |
| Smart Link | Smart Link triggers, form content, SMS templates, abandonment recovery, QR codes | Configuring personalized intake links |
The General Tab in Detail
- Logo — upload PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 2 MB; used in customer-facing surfaces
- Operating hours + timezone — the canonical hours the AI speaks and routes on; after-hours automation keys off them
- Service-area ZIP codes — used for qualification and fit scoring
- Appearance — your personal light/dark theme preference
Changing your industry
The industry (vertical) selector on the General tab drives your service catalog, terminology, and intake questions. Changing it opens a confirmation dialog listing exactly what gets replaced — including catalog rows and seeded knowledge. Read it carefully before confirming.
Integrations
Calendar (Google with per-technician calendar mapping, Microsoft Outlook), CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho), accounting (QuickBooks Online, Xero), and field service (Jobber) connect via OAuth — click Connect, authorize in the popup, and the card shows sync status. Reconnect from the same card if a connection expires.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Likely Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Changes not saving | Validation error on a required field | Check for highlighted fields and correct the input |
| A setting seems ignored by the AI | Testing against stale expectations | Re-test in AI Receptionist › Test after saving |
| Integration shows disconnected | OAuth token expired or permissions revoked | Click Reconnect and re-authorize the integration |
